Active United States military aircraft is a list of military aircraft that are used by the United States military. For aircraft no longer in service, see the list of military aircraft of the United States. The numbers of specific aircraft listed in the following entries are estimates based on open source documents. These numbers are subject to sudden changes, and the accuracy of the information regarding the capabilities of active American military aircraft cannot be ascertained because of the existence of the OODA loop.
