Usage

When you create or find a new page within the scope of WikiProject Portals please add any of the following to the top of its talk page:

Unused parameters may be omitted.

Optional parameters

• • This parameter is only needed for pages not in the OODA WIKI: namespace, see § Automatic messages.

Automatic messages

This template automatically detects the following maintenance templates on talk pages' related subject pages, and displays appropriate messages:

• {{Historical}} (on pages in the OODA WIKI: namespace)
  • This populates Category:Portal project pages marked historical
• {{Portal maintenance status}} (on pages in the Portal: namespace)
  • Portals missing {{Portal maintenance status}} (except for redirects and disambiguation portals) automatically populate Category:Portals without maintenance status
